NEW DELHI (PTI): An Air Force team, undertaking mountaineering expeditions to highest peaks in each of the seven continents, was flagged-off to summit Mount Denali in Alaska, North America.
"A seven-member team led by Wing Commander R C Tripathi is all set to take on the challenge of the next mountaineering expedition in the series of the ongoing Mission Seven Summit Mountaineering Project," IAF officials said here.
In its fourth such expedition, the team will leave the country on May 31. The peak in Alaska is the second most difficult challenge for the team after Mount Everest in its Seven Summit quest.
Air Officer Administration Air Marshal JN Burma, flagged-off the expedition.
The other members of the team include Wg Cdr Jaikishan, Squadron Leader Rishi Sagar, Junior Warrant Officer Nikku Ram Chaudhary and Sergeant Jasbir Singh.
