NEW DELHI (PTI): Indian Air Force (IAF) chief Air Chief Marshal N A K Browne will undertake a two-day visit of the forward air bases in the Western sector, including the frontline Sukhoi-30 MKI squadron based in Jodhpur in Rajasthan from Tuesday.
The Air Chief will also visit Gandhinagar-based South Western Air Command (SWAC) and the Number-31 Sukhoi squadron also known as 'Lions' based in Jodhpur, IAF officials said here.
ACM Browne will also interact with officials of MiG-21 and MiG-27 squadrons, two helicopter units and three missile squadron based in vicinity of Jodhpur.
The tour will begin with the Air Chief visiting the SWAC headquarter in Gandhinagar on Tuesday, where he will interact with all its top commanders.
During his visit, Browne will take stock of the overall preparedness of the fighter and helicopter units based under SWAC, besides updating himself on their training schedule and other requirement of Air Warriors there.
This is his first visit to the SWAC after taking over as the Air Chief last year, the officials said.
