NEW DELHI (PTI): Top officers of Indian Air Force will review the challenges facing the service and discuss modernisation of its infrastructure at the Commanders' Conference beginning here on Tuesday.
Chaired by Air Chief Marshal N A K Browne, the conference will be inaugurated by Defence Minister A K Antony.
Issues such as strengthening the air defence cover around vital installations in the country and further reducing the rate of accidents of fighter aircraft are expected to be discussed.
The conference is also likely to take up the issue of grounding of Mirage 2000 aircraft for over a month after two crashes earlier this year.
Commanders of all the seven IAF Commands and Principal Staff Officers posted at the Air headquarters will attend the conference.
