NEW DELHI (PTI): IAF Chief N A K Browne Thursday left on three-day visit to Russia where he will review the ongoing joint development projects including the fifth generation fighter aircraft (FGFA) programme between the two countries.
The Air Chief Marshal will attend an air show at Moscow being held to mark 100 years of Russian Air Force.
During the visit, Browne is also scheduled to meet the Commander-in-Chief of Russian Air Force Colonel General Viktor Bondarev and attend the International Military Conference 'Common Sky,' IAF said in a release.
The IAF Chief will also visit Zhukovsky airfield for familiarisation with the FGFA and multirole transport aircraft (MTA) programmes.
He is also slated to visit Federal Service for Military- Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), Russian Aircraft Corporation, MiG and Rosoboronexport, it said.
The visit by Browne comes about two years after his predecessor P V Naik went to Russia.
