VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA (BNS): Huntington Ingalls Industries subsidiary AMSEC LLC was awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contract allowing an AMSEC-led team to compete for individual task orders solicited for service requirements.
The contract is one of approximately 2,500 awarded under the SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) acquisition programme for services procurements, the company said.
The government estimates a maximum of $5.3 billion of services will be procured each year under the SeaPort-e multiple award contracts.
SeaPort-e is the Navy's electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas, including engineering, financial management and programme management.
A team led by AMSEC has been selected by US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to compete for task orders to provide services solicited by NAVSEA, Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Command, Strategic Systems Programs, the Office of Naval Research and the U S Marine Corps.
The work is expected to be completed by January 2019. NAVSEA's Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren is the contracting activity.
