MUMBAI (BNS): Godrej & Boyce, one of the major industrial partners of BrahMos Aerospace, has congratulated the Company for the latest successful test firing of the BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile on 8th July, 2014.
"It is a matter of immense pleasure and satisfaction to know that the airframe assemblies F3 section with CPHS, wing and fin manufactured by Godrej performed successfully during the test, thus qualifying them for the next stage of integration on combat missiles along with nose cap and nose cap motors which were qualified earlier," Jamshyd N. Godrej, Chairman & MD of Godrej & Boyce, said in reply to a communiqué with Dr. A S Pillai, CEO & MD of BrahMos Aerospace.
"It was also heartening to learn that the missile was launched from a Mobile Autonomous Launcher, also supplied by Godrej," he further added.
Attributing the success to the entire BrahMos team along with DRDO, MSQAA and other vendor members of the JV Company, he said: "I am confident that this important milestone will propel the project to greater success and usher in a new era of indigenous defence manufacturing in the country."
Godrej & Boyce has been instrunmental in providing several key components for the BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile system.
