ROME (BNS): Finmeccanica has received new contracts from USA and Russia, with a total value of EUR 120 ($ 172 mln) million.

US DRS Defence Solutions has ordered an IDIQ (Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity) contract by SSC Atlantic worth up to USD 100 million for providing the worldwide provision of Integrated Electronic Security Systems (IESS) sustainment support service with the possibility of exercising additional options through 2016.

In addition to this an another contract is awarded for worth USD 4.5 million related to the provision of satellite transmission services to the Defence Information Systems Agency (DISA) in support of US Forces operations in Kosovo.

SELEX Elsag of Russia has a EUR 50 million tender for the construction of a new automatic mail sorting center in the city of Rostov-on-Don, in the Russian Federation.

The new facility will serve the entire city area in addition to four regional service areas, over 2,500 mail offices and more than 50 communication logistic nodes.
