Chile will host Exponaval 2014 - the 9th edition of International Naval & Maritime Exhibition and Conference for Latin America, at the port city of Valparaiso from December 2-5, 2014.
The biennial maritime exhibition, with a special focus on naval defence, will also host a maritime and port exhibition - TRANS-PORT 2014 - for the fourth time with a dedicated pavilion.
Organised by the Chilean Ministry of Defence, Exponaval 2014 will be dedicated to address the current issues in the naval and maritime field. A conference on "Navies and their Contribution to Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection" will be held as part of the show.
The previous edition of the naval show in 2012 had attracted the participation of over 140 exhibitors and naval delegations from 80 countries.
A larger number of participation is expected this year as well, with the participating countries displaying and promoting a wide range of state-of-the-art naval systems and technology.
The international exhibition will also provide a platform for promoting regional and international relations in the field of defence and for the growth of the naval and maritime industry.
