HAIFA, ISRAEL (BNS): Elbit Systems has bagged a contract worth US$90 million from the Israeli Defence Ministry for the maintenance of avionics systems of the Israeli Air Force's (IAF) F-16 fleet of fighters.
The project, to be performed over 11 years, will include the establishment of a new and cutting edge national maintenance center for the IAF's squadrons and bases, the company announced on Jan. 5.
The IAF's F-16 fleet consists of F-16 A/Bs (Netz), F-16 C/Ds (Barak) and F-16Is (Sufa) multi-role fighters.
