BENGALURU (BNS): NITI Aayog member and former DRDO Chief Dr. V K Saraswat on 21st February 2019 released the eighth edition of global military yearbook ‘Brahmand World Defence Update 2019’ at the BrahMos Aerospace pavilion during Aero India 2019.
The yearbook was released in the presence of Dr. Sudhir K Mishra, DS & DG (BrahMos), DRDO and CEO & MD of BrahMos Aerospace, who has penned the ‘Foreword’ for the book.
In its latest edition, the yearbook – an initiative of India-Russia JV entity BrahMos Aerospace – has made an exclusive inclusion of ‘Air & Missile Defence Systems’ of six powerful nations, namely China, India, Israel, Japan, Russia and the USA in addition to the comprehensive coverage of military data of 113 countries worldwide.
Air Defence Systems and Missile Defence Systems have become highly critical strategic assets for powerful militaries across the world in the 21st century. From ensuring strategic stability to containing escalation of a potential military conflict and even defeating the enemy if necessary, such systems have come to occupy centre-stage in present times.
‘Brahmand World Defence Update 2019’ has listed in detail about such advanced weapons and related systems possessed by few powerful nations in the world.
