THIRUVANANTHAPURAM (PTI): Defence Secretary G Mohan Kumar on Monday reviewed the progress of ongoing defence infrastructure projects and security at the Southern Air Command headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram.

He later visited Sainik School at nearby Kazhakoottam.

During his interaction with the cadets and staff at the school, the official said, being a cadet of Sainik School is a great honour and each one of them should have an aim to become an Armed Forces Officer.

The Defence Secretary, who was on his maiden visit to a Sainik School, also promised to extend his maximum support to solve the long term issues related to Sainik Schools, the release added.
