Defence Minister being briefed on BRAHMOS system at Aero India 2019

BENGALURU (BNS): Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited the ‘India Pavilion’ on the inaugural day of Aero India 2019 being held in Bengaluru. She was briefed about the universal  BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile system being exhibited at the Pavilion along with other ‘Make In India’ products and systems.

A joint venture product between India’s DRDO and Russia’s NPOM, BRAHMOS has established its supremacy as the fastest and deadliest precision strike weapon in the world. The highly versatile missile has been successfully operationalised in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

BrahMos Aerospace, the designer, developer and producer of the formidable BRAHMOS, remains at the forefront of the flagship ‘Make In India’ programme. The JV programme has led to the creation of a robust missile industrial consortium in India wherein a large number of public and private sector defence entities are presently associated with the development, production and integration of BRAHMOS Weapon Systems.

BrahMos Aerospace is exhibiting the land, sea, sub-sea and air-launched versions of the world-class BRAHMOS at the ‘India Pavilion.’
