MOSCOW (BNS): Rear Admiral Kim Min-Sik, Commander of East Sea Fleet of DPRK Navy will start its eight day official visit to Russia's Pacific Fleet on Thursday, a media report said.
Officials of Russian Pacific Fleet will meet Commander Kim Min-Sik and will visit the Russian military contingent on the Kamchatka peninsula.
"The visit will continue until October 27Â…and will include tours of the Admiral Tributs missile destroyer and the Varshavyanka diesel-powered submarine," RIA Novosti quoted a Pacific Fleet spokesman as saying.
According to the report, both nations are planning to start joint naval drills in the Yellow sea by 2012 which will focus on sea rescue and humanitarian missions.
