KOLKATA (PTI): Commanders-in-Chief of India's tri-services have reviewed operational, training and logistics issues to ensure optimum and joint utilisation by all three services.
During a Tri Services Conference at Trishakti Corps at Sukna in Jalpaiguri district on Thursday, joint training activities in common areas to optimise resource utilisation, for better integration as also to achieve inter-operability between participating forces was discussed, a Defence communique said.
A review was carried out on the progress made on various operational, training and logistic issues since the last conference.
Lt Gen M M S Rai, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Command, Air Marshal R K Jolly, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command and Vice Admiral Satish Soni, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command took part in the proceedings.
The conference also deliberated upon enhanced interaction at all levels on regular basis to update and refine joint plans so as to promote joint man-ship and achieve operational synergy, the communique said.
A review of usage of infrastructural facilities to ensure optimum and joint utilisation by all three services was also carried out.
