BEIJING (PTI): China on Sunday successfully launched a scientific satellite into preset orbit to conduct experiments in space.
The Shijian-11-07 was boosted by a Long March-2C carrier rocket. The satellite was launched from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in northwestern Gobi desert.
The satellite, which was developed by China Spacesat Co Ltd under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, will be used to conduct scientific experiments in space, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported.
