TAIYUAN (BNS): China has put into orbit another remote-sensing satellite, "Yaogan X", on Monday, a media report said.
According to Xinhua news agency, the satellite was sent into space aboard a Long March 4C carrier rocket from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in northern Shanxi Province.
The satellite will conduct scientific experiment, carry out surveys on land resources, forecast crops output and will help in natural disaster reduction and prevention phase.
Its predecessor "Yaogan IX" was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwestern Gansu Province in March, the report said.
