China, ROK to build strong defence ties

BEIJING (BNS): China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) announced to strengthen military ties between both the countries, according to a Chinese media report.

Chen Bingde, Chief of the General Staff of the PLA met with Kim Kuan Jin, National Defense Minister of the Republic of Korea (ROK) on Thursday.

"China and the ROK relations have experienced sound development, and the bilateral ties had recently expanded in a favourable way," XInhua quoted Chen Bingde, Chief of the General Staff of the People's Liberation Army as saying.

According to Chen, with the regular development of the Sino-ROK relationship and bilateral military ties, both nations will benefit a healthy regional peace, stability and prosperity.

China also focuses to strengthen the Sino-ROK strategic partnership.

The ROK was ready to strengthen the military exchanges with China in all fields in a bid to contribute to regional peace and stability, it said.
