VISAKHAPATNAM (PTI): Chief of the Naval Staff and Chairman of Chiefs of Staff Committee Admiral Nirmal Verma reviewed the Indian Navy's Eastern Fleet on Monday in which ships, submarines and aircraft took part.
Admiral Nirmal Verma had earlier helmed the Eastern Naval Command from May 2, 2008, to August 29, 2009.
Under his stewardship, the Eastern Naval Command had been involved in numerous operational, anti-piracy and humanitarian missions in the Bay of Bengal, South East Asia and the Gulf of Aden.
