FALLS CHURCH, VIRGINIA (BNS): The US Missile Defence Agency (MDA) has awarded CSC a task order to provide systems engineering support for all MDA-funded ballistic missile defence systems.
The task order, which has a one-year base period and a one-year option, has an estimated total two-year value of $80 million, the company said.
Under the terms of the task order, Computer Sciences Corporation will provide matrixed systems engineering support to 19 different program and project offices within MDA.
CSC will enhance the delivery and deployment of new systems through standardized processes and performance monitoring.
"As the ballistic missile threat continues to grow in size and complexity, CSC will ensure the Missile Defense Agency has the ability to proactively plan and integrate the next generation of defence technologies," said James W. Sheaffer, president of CSC's North American Public Sector.
The MDA is a research, development and acquisition agency within the US Department of Defence.
