HYDERABAD (PTI): Air Commodore C K Kumar on Monday took over as Air Officer Commanding of Air Force station Begumpet here.
Prior to this appointment the Air Officer was commanding the Air Force Station Palam.
Kumar, was commissioned into the Indian Air Force on 13 June 1987 and during his career, he has flown a wide variety of transport and trainer aircraft like An-32, HPT-32, Boeing 737-200 and Boeing Business Jet, a Defence release said.
The Air Officer has served in an operational transport squadron in the East. He is a qualified flying instructor and a post graduate from Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
The Air Officer has tenanted the important staff appointment of Director Personnel Officers (Transport) at Air Headquarters and also as Command Flying Training Officer at Headquarters Training Command, Indian Air Force, it added.
