BrahMos Aerospace honoured with Innovation Award 2014


Dr. A S Pillai, CEO & MD of BrahMos Aerospace, receives "Innovating for a Better Tomorrow Award 2014."

NEW DELHI (BNS): BrahMos Aerospace has been bestowed with the "Innovating for a Better Tomorrow Award 2014" by TV-18 in partnership with Infosys.

Dr. A S Pillai, Distinguished Scientist, CEO & MD of BrahMos Aerospace, received the award from N R Narayana Murthy, Executive Chairman, Infosys and Kiran Karnik, former President of NASSCOM, during the "Innovating for a Better Tomorrow" awards ceremony in New Delhi on Friday.

The BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile is ensuring the safety of over a billion Indians while making indelible impressions globally, noted CNN-IBN.

BRAHMOS has also enabled the formation of the world's first missile industry consortium - an exclusive business innovation formulating unique partnerships with private companies, it said.

Dr. Pillai also participated in a panel discussion on the topic "Frugal Innovation" with moderator Sagarika Ghosh and other speakers.

BrahMos is a successful India-Russia Joint Venture that has given birth to the world's best supersonic cruise missile system.
