MESA, ARIZONA (BNS): Boeing has delivered the first AH-64D Apache Block III multi-role attack helicopter to the US Army, the company announced on Wednesday.
The Apache Block III has incorporated 26 new technologies, which are designed to enhance the aircraft's capabilities.
Boeing will produce 51 AH-64D Apache Block III helicopters for the Army under Low Rate Initial Production. The Army's acquisition objective stands at 690 Apache Block III aircraft.
According to the company, many defence forces from all over the world have contracted for upgrading or adding the Apache Block III to their rotorcraft fleets.
The Block III Apache is manufactured with advanced technologies and capabilities to benefit soldiers and battlefield commanders.
