OKLAHOMA CITY (BNS): Boeing has received a five-year contract from the U S Air Force for engineering sustainment support on the KC-135 Fleet Support Program.
The KC-135 Fleet Support Program has been supporting KC-135 and RC-135 aircraft at the Tinker Air Force Base Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center for the past 10 years. This latest contract, worth up to $20 million annually, will go into effect in January.
The services covered under the contract include structural, systems and aerospace analysis; prototyping modifications and upgrades; liaison engineering support for Tinker Air Force Base Program Depot Maintenance and back shops; 24/7 in-flight emergency support; and accident and incident investigations, Boeing said.
