BSX-2010 draws curtain

Leaders gather at World Space-Biz-2010 in Bangalore.

BANGALORE (BNS): The second edition of Bengaluru Space Expo came to a close here on Saturday.

The grand event, which is Asia's only exhibition dedicated to space, satellites and related technology, witnessed large-scale participation from public as well as private space industry players.

Leaders from international space agencies, including US's NASA, Europe's ESA, Japan's JAXA, Russia's Roscosmos and India's ISRO converged at the 'World Space-Biz' conference to deliberate on a wide range of topics including low-cost access to space, small satellites and risk management in space missions.

The three-day conference was organised to establish and enhance mutual cooperation among space sector players at the national as well as global level.

Over 90 small, medium and large domestic and international industrial houses exhibited their products and services at the biennial exhibition. Some MoUs were also clinched during the show.

Organised by CII in association with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Antrix Corporation, BSX-2010 was also supported by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, DRDO and BrahMos Aerospace.
