LONDON (BNS): BAE Systems has signed a contract with the Sultanate of Oman for the supply of 12 Typhoon aircraft, associated support and eight Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) aircraft.
BAE Systems released a press statement confirming that the deal is worth some £2.5 billion and equips the Sultan's Armed Forces.
"We look forward to working in partnership with Oman's Ministry of Defence, and the Royal Air Force of Oman, to ensure this is a highly successful programme that maximises the potential of both Hawk and Typhoon," Guy Griffiths, Group Managing Director for BAE Systems' International business, was quoted as saying in the report.
