EVRY, FRANCE (BNS): Arianespace is all set to launch the Globalstar’s second-generation satellites on July 11th, the company announced Tuesday.
The satellite will lift off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, and currently all the six spacecraft have been fueled and integrated on their dispenser system.
Arianespace will also conduct two more missions by its Starsem affiliate by the year end.
Globalstar-a second generation satellite is built by Thales Alenia Space, with its trapezoidal shape, the satellite is easily installed on the Soyuz’ conical-shaped dispenser.
Globalstar has contracted with Arianespace to conduct a series of four Soyuz launches, each of which will carry six of the second-generation satellites for a total of 24 spacecraft.
