NEW DELHI (BNS): Indian Defence Minister A K Antony on Thursday launched 'Brahmand World Defence Update 2012' - a comprehensive database covering military details of over 150 countries worldwide - during the seventh edition of Defexpo at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
Brahmand World Defence Update has focused on listing and highlighting defence details of a total of 165 countries worldwide along with each country's economy, defence expenditure and defence industry.
The book also contains strategic information of 17 important countries, focusing on their geopolitical importance, strategic relations, threat perspective, defence capabilities and new military acquisitions.
The Brahmand defence yearbook was launched at the BrahMos Aerospace pavilion which is also taking part in the 'Land, Naval & Internal Security Systems' exhibition. The Indian-Russian joint venture company is the producer of the world's only supersonic cruise missile BRAHMOS.
The Defexpo 2012 began at the Pragati Maidan Thursday, showcasing India's emergence as an attractive destination for investment in the defence sector.
