Air Commodore Rawat takes over IAF station at Jamnagar

AHMEDABAD (BNS): Air Commodore Devendra Singh Rawat took over the charge of Air Force Station at Jamnagar on Tuesday, which is one of the premier frontline fighter airbase of the Indian Air Force (IAF), as per media report.

Rawat was commissioned in IAF in December 1980 as a fighter pilot and was awarded with Vishisht Seva Medal in 2002.

Rawat is a fighter combat leader and has flown MIG-21 and MIG-29 aircraft. The air Commodore has commanded Air Defence Direction Centre (ADDC).  Many important command and staff appointments was done by him while working as a Deputy Commandant at College of Air Warfare.
