CHENNAI (PTI): Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha on Thursday reviewed the training activities at the Air Force Station here and appreciated the high training standards by each training establishments.
Raha, who is on a two-day visit to the city, was received by Air Commodore Rippon Gupta and accorded a Guard of Honour at the station at suburban Tambaram, an official release here said.
The Air Chief was briefed about the training activities undertaken by the Station and the infrastructural improvements.
After visiting Flying Instructors' School, Mechanical Training Institute, Workshop Training Institute and Air Force Instructors' Training School, Raha interacted with the officers, airmen, trainees and civilian staff, it said.
During his brief interaction, Raha appreciated the high training standards by each training establishment of the Station and insisted the staff to achieve greater heights.
He assured all necessary assistance to improve the existing training infrastructure and emphasised on careful maintenance of costly equipment and machines of the Station, the release said.
