THIRUVANANTHAPURAM (PTI): Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, Chief of the Air Staff, arrived here Tuesday on a two-day official visit.
During his interaction with the Command Staff and Commanders, he discussed various challenges to be faced by Indian Air Force (IAF) in the coming years while undergoing capability enhancement with modernisation and new acquisitions.
He laid stress on the initiatives taken by Air Headquarters towards improvement of operational capability of the IAF, a defence release said.
While complimenting the air warriors of Southern Air Command on their diligence, he exhorted the personnel to be good professionals and operationalise new equipment in a systematic manner.
He also laid stress on preserving the expensive assets of IAF - equipment and human resource.
He emphasised the need to focus on the key result areas and underlined training and professional competency to achieve high level of aerospace safety.
