Aero India 2023: CNS Admiral R Hari Kumar visits BrahMos Aerospace pavilion

NEW DELHI (BNS): Admiral R Hari Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy, visited the BrahMos Aerospace pavilion on the 3rd day of Aero India 2023.

The Navy Chief was briefed by Shri Atul D Rane, CEO & MD of BrahMos, about the formidable BRAHMOS Weapon System and the major milestones the India-Russia defence JV has achieved over the years.

The BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile is operational on all front-line naval platforms of the Indian Navy. The weapon system’s advanced and powerful capabilities have augmented Indian military strength and it has also become a highly-desirable product for other countries to procure.

The missile is jointly developed by India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia’s NPO Mashinostroyeniya (NPOM).

As many as 451 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements worth Rs 1.53 lakh crore were signed during the Defence Expo or DefExpo 2022 at Gandhinagar, a senior official said.
