Indian Air Force celebrates 94th Air Force Day

The Indian Air Force – one of the largest and mightiest air powers in the world – today celebrated the 94th Air Force Day with Air Chief Marshal A P Singh presiding over a ceremonial parade held at the Hindon air base, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
This year’s celebrations centred on the theme “Infallible, Impervious and Precise”, underscoring the force's unwavering commitment to maintain operational readiness along with high level of resilience and precision power to make India’s skies secure and safe at all times.
Also in attendance were the Chief of the Army Staff, General Dhiraj Seth, and the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, along with senior officers, former IAF chiefs, veterans and families.
The grand parade included static display of combat assets and an aerial demonstration by the IAF’s wingmen.
President Droupadi Murmu, the Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces, greeted the IAF on the occasion.
“Greetings to all air warriors, veterans and their families on Air Force Day. The Indian Air Force has rendered exemplary service to the nation, upholding high standards of professionalism, discipline and preparedness. Operation Sindoor demonstrated the courage, precision and operational preparedness of our air warriors in safeguarding the nation’s security. They have also extended valuable assistance during disasters and humanitarian crises. Their dedication remains a source of inspiration and pride for the nation. May the Indian Air Force continue to uphold its proud legacy of service and excellence,” the President posted in her message on X.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his wishes to the Indian Air Force.
“India is proud of our Air Warriors. On Air Force Day, we salute their courage and commitment to protect our skies!,” the PM posted on X.
Officially established on October 8, 1932, the Indian Air Force has evolved into a formidable 21st-century network-centric force capable of undertaking multi-domain operations.
