IAF Chief visits BrahMos stall at DefExpo
The Air Chief Marshal was apprised of the landmark achievements made by the powerful BRAHMOS weapon system and the remarkable progress made by the India-Russia JV entity BrahMos Aerospace in making the missile truly ‘world-class’.
The Indian Air Force, on January 20, 2020, formally inducted the new “Tigersharks” squadron of frontline Sukhoi-30MKI fighter aircraft armed with the formidable BRAHMOS air-launched cruise missile (ALCM) at the Thanjavur air base in Tamil Nadu. The world’s deadliest weapon-platform combination would keep a ‘strategic eye’ over the Indian Ocean Region, ensuring peace, tranquillity and prosperity.
The highly advanced BRAHMOS air-launched cruise missile had validated its impeccable precision attack capability to knock off high value land and sea-surface targets after undergoing a series of successful test firings from the Sukhoi-30 air combat platform.
In an impressive display of its world-class missile making capability, BrahMos Aerospace is exhibiting the universal BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile in land, sea, sub-sea and air configurations at the five day international exhibition.
