Redefining the supremacy of Indian Navy The BRAHMOS missile has successfully demonstrated its speed, precision and power a number of times from Naval ships. In a test firing conducted by an Indian Navy warship on April 21, 2017, BRAHMOS has established its formidable power to attack selected targets deep in-land and far away from the coast, from standoff ranges at sea. The test firing has made the Indian Navy gain a unique and invincible capability to hit and neutralise selected land targets from the high seas.

Land-Based Weapon System

Reliability, consistency and accuracy reassured in latest BRAHMOS test firing Giving a major fillip to the Government's 'Make In India' initiative, a land-attack BRAHMOS variant with an indigenous seeker has been successfully test fired from the Pokhran test range in Rajasthan in March 2018 and hit the designated land target with "pin-point" accuracy. This is the first time India has developed the seeker system for a missile of this class and calibre.

Air-Based Weapon System

BRAHMOS firepowers Sukhoi aircraft BRAHMOS, world's fastest and deadliest supersonic cruise missile, has created history on 22nd November 2017 after being successfully test fired first the time from the Indian Air Force's frontline Sukhoi-30MKI fighter aircraft against a sea-based target in the Bay of Bengal. The Su-30MKI armed with formidable BRAHMOS promises to galvanize the IAF's air combat potential in an unprecedented ways.

Aero India has already carved a niche for itself globally as a premier aerospace exhibition, with seven successful editions organized between 1996 and 2011. In Aero India 2011, the participation of exhibitors from 29 countries with 675 companies (380 overseas + 295 domestic) and 47 overseas delegations was accommodated over a gross exhibition area of 75,000 sqm (including outdoor), which was nearly 57% more than the previous edition in 2009.
