Ship-Based Weapon System

Ship-Based Weapon Complex BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile is capable of hitting sea based targets beyond radar horizons. It can be launched in either inclined or vertical configuration based on the type of the ship. The vertical launch configuration of BRAHMOS enhances the stealth capabilities of the warships as the missiles are under the deck and not exposed. The Universal Vertical Launcher (UVLM) being used in these ships has a unique design, developed and patented by BrahMos Aerospace. The potential carriers are Destroyers, Frigates, Corvettes, Offshore patrol vessels and any other type of ships. The Indian Navy has currently deployed the missile system on almost all the front line surface warships of the maritime force.

Land-Based Weapon System

Land-Based Weapon Complex BRAHMOS is a formidable weapon system with its unmatched speed, precision and devastating power. BRAHMOS Land based Weapon Complex comprises of four to six Mobile Autonomous Launchers (MAL) controlled by a Mobile Command Post (MCP), and a Mobile Replenishment Vehicle. The unique BRAHMOS weapon system on numerous occasions has established its supremacy in the World of supersonic cruise missiles. The mobile land-based configuration of BRAHMOS has achieved several advancements over the years with each having its own distinct potentiality to hit and destroy enemy target.

Air-Based Weapon System

BRAHMOS Air Launched Cruise Missile System BrahMos has successfully integrated world's most formidable supersonic cruise missile system BRAHMOS on Su-30MKI frontline strike fighter of the Indian Air Force. The SU-30 MKI has a maximum speed of 2 Mach with a single in-flight range of 5,200 km. The air-launched BRAHMOS is smaller and lighter than its previous variants but would be equally lethal in firepower and devastating capability with maximum speed of 290-km and 2.8 Mach respectively.
