About Bengaluru Space Expo 2010

Space has given humanity the vision of an integrated world. In India, in the next 5 years, the space programme has an ambitious goal of launching several satellites for applications in communications, navigation, disaster management and all weather remote sensing.

Bengaluru Space Expo 2010 aims at providing innumerable challenging opportunities for space industries of India and abroad in terms of equipment and services. The exhibition will also highlight the efforts put forth by many small and medium enterprises in the vivacious space industry.

"BSX 2010" is the second edition of Asia's only dedicated exhibition on space technologies, products and innovations.

The four-day long event will be a gateway to assess knowledge and information about the latest trends and developments in the civil and commercial space sectors and opportunities for international cooperation offered by them.

The Expo would facilitate joint ventures, technology transfer, marketing arrangements and will also provide opportunities to network with the who's who of Space Industry from all over the world.

It will be highlighting the latest technological advancements, related products and technical services while providing a unique platform for space agencies, specialists, entrepreneurs and space industry heavyweights to display their visions.

The Exhibition would also be showcasing Asia's achievements and prospects for space sector.

This grand event is being organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Indian Space Research Organisation and Antrix Corporation in Bangalore. BSX-2010 will bring together industry with space agencies to jointly explore commercial and civilian applications.

The Expo will also highlight India's prowess in various areas of space, including manufacturing, launch services, communication, meteorology, and space sciences. It will increase the number of space nations through international collaborations and also expand the vendor base.

The debut show, BSX 2008 - held in Bengaluru, witnessed encouraging participation from the space industry from around the globe. The event recorded an attendance of over 2,500 business visitors besides 15 country delegations and participation from over 18 countries.

The current exhibition is scheduled from 25th -28th August, 2010 at BIEC, Bengaluru, India.
