TOKYO (BNS): The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has postponed the launch of the H-IIB Launch Vehicle No. 2 with the KOUNOTORI2 HTV2 (cargo transpoter) due to unfavorable weather conditions.

The HTV2 is a cargo transfer vehicle used for the International Space Station (ISS).

The space agency will scheduled the next launch of the H-IIB rocket not earlier than January 22.

The launch was originally scheduled for 3:29:19 pm on January 20, 2011 (JST.), JAXA said.

H-IIB is the sixth launch vehicle since Japan's first major launch vehicle N-I and this will mark the 20th launch for the H-IIA and H-IIB launch vehicles.
