BENGALURU (BNS): High-level military officials from various countries visited the BrahMos Aerospace pavilion on the second day of Aero India 2017 being held at Bengaluru.

The officials were briefed about the advanced BRAHMOS weapon system and its capabilities by CEO & MD of BrahMos Aerospace, Dr. Sudhir K Mishra.

BrahMos Aerospace, the JV entity between India’s DRDO and Russia’s NPOM, is displaying the land, sea and air variants of the formidable weapon at the 11th edition of Aero India show.

The air-to-land version of the supersonic cruise missile is at an advanced stage of being flight tested from the Sukhoi-30 fighter of the Indian Air Force. The land-attack and anti-ship variants of the weapon have already been inducted in the Indian Armed Forces.

Many countries have expressed keen interest in acquiring the world-class BRAHMOS.

India and Russia have agreed in principle to export the weapon to friendly countries.
