BEIJING (PTI): China and Bangladesh have agreed to deepen bilateral military ties during a key meeting between Chinese Defence Minister Liang Guanglie and the visiting Bangladeshi Army Chief, General Muhammad Abdul Mubeen in Beijing.

“China is willing to enhance interactions with Bangladesh in all fields and at all levels to advance bilateral and military relations and make contributions to safeguarding regional peace and stability,” Liang said on Thursday.

He said strengthening and developing a friendly cooperation with Bangladesh is an established policy of the Chinese government, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

General Mubeen said Bangladesh is willing to work with China to enhance cooperation and further promote military-to-military relations.

The top Bangladeshi commander said his government and the military attaches great importance to developing relations with China.

Praising the healthy and sound bilateral relations since China and Bangladesh established diplomatic relations, the Chinese Defence Minister said the two countries enjoy mutual political respect and support, economic cooperation and joint development.

China entering into military ties with nations surrounding India would compel India into deepening its military ties with USA, Japan etc. which would accelerate cold war and arms race which will be in the interest on none. So China may instead consider deepening its friendly, economic and peaceful relations with those nations including India which would reduce arms race and cold war with better confidence building in the region thereby diverting substantial financial resources for peaceful development instead of wasting the same for prepations of a war which no one can win.

Chinese along with expansionalism interest had irked many small Asian countries like Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei & Japan. USA, Japan & India already started war games with these small Asian countries. Chinese are now enjoying good financial situation. Instead of enjoying economic and peaceful relations with those nations Chinese government treat them as enemies. The result enmity will be war. Chinese will again go back to the situation of 1940's & situation of Nazi Germany.
